AI Disclosure & Call Recording Notice

1. Mia is an artificial intelligence

1.1 "Mia" is an artificial intelligence system — a synthetic intelligence ("SI") — provided by MyMiaAI to the business whose phone line you called. Mia is not a human being, and she is not an employee of the business. When you speak with Mia, you are speaking with software acting on the business's behalf and under its direction.

1.2 Mia is designed to identify herself as an AI. She introduces herself as Mia, the business's AI assistant, at the start of calls, and if you ask sincerely whether she is human or a robot, she will answer truthfully that she is an AI.

2. Your call may be recorded and transcribed

2.1 Calls with Mia may be recorded and transcribed, and a summary and action items may be created from the call. This is how Mia does the work: the business receives the booking, the details, and the record of what was agreed, so nothing falls through the cracks.

2.2 Mia announces the recording at the start of the call. Where the law requires consent to record, the announcement and your choice to continue the call after hearing it provide the basis for recording; the business using Mia on its line is responsible for the consent posture of its own lines (see §4).

3. How recordings and transcripts are used

3.1 Recordings, transcripts, and summaries are used to: carry out your request (book, reschedule, quote, invoice, follow up); give the business an accurate record of the call; operate, secure, and improve the reliability of the Mia service (for example, diagnosing why a booking failed); and comply with law.

3.2 Recordings and transcripts of a business's line belong to that business's records. They are not sold, not shared with other businesses, and not used to market anything to you. Access is limited to the business whose line you called and to MyMiaAI personnel and providers who need it to run the service, under the Privacy Policy.

3.3 Transcripts are machine-generated and may contain errors; the recording controls if a detail matters.

4. Consent — including stricter states

4.1 Federal law generally permits recording with one party's consent; a number of states require the consent of all parties. Mia's opening disclosure is designed to be heard before any substantive conversation, in every state.

4.2 If you do not wish to be recorded, say so at the start of the call: Mia will offer alternatives — for example, taking a message without recording where the configuration permits, or arranging a human callback — or you may end the call and contact the business through another channel.

4.3 If you are a business using Mia, you are responsible for confirming that your use of recording on your lines complies with the laws of the states you operate in and serve. MyMiaAI provides the disclosure tooling; the legal duty for your lines is yours. (This is also stated in the Terms of Service §12.)

5. You can always reach a human

5.1 At any point in a call, you may ask Mia for a human: "Let me talk to a person," "Have someone call me back," or similar. Mia will take your name, number, and the reason for your call and pass it to the business for a human callback, and she will not argue with the request.

5.2 Nothing in this notice limits any right you have under law, including the right to ask the business (or us, and we will route it) for access to or deletion of your information, as described in the Privacy Policy §10.

6. Questions
