Acceptable Use

Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and scope

1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use the MyMia service. It applies to you, your team, and everyone who communicates through your account — and, through Mia, to every call, text, and email the Service handles for you. Violations may lead to warning, suspension, or termination under Terms §15.

2. Lawful use only

2.1 You may not use the Service to violate any law or regulation, including the TCPA and state telemarketing/texting laws, call-recording and wiretapping laws, the CAN-SPAM Act, consumer-protection and debt-collection laws, privacy laws, and sanctions/export law.

2.2 You are responsible for knowing the rules of the states and industries you operate in (for example, licensing claims you make, regulated-industry restrictions) and for configuring Mia's information accordingly.

3. Prohibited communications conduct

3.1 No spam, ever. No unsolicited bulk or automated marketing calls or texts; no texting or calling purchased, rented, scraped, or guessed lists; no contacting numbers on any applicable do-not-call registry in violation of law; no continuing contact after an opt-out, revocation, or do-not-contact request in any channel.

3.2 No unlawful robocalling or deceptive practices. No spoofing or falsifying caller ID or message origin; no misleading headers, subjects, or identities; no impersonating any person, business, or agency (including government agencies); no pretexting to obtain information.

3.3 No fraud or abuse of others. No using Mia to collect payment under false pretenses, to phish credentials or payment details, to harass, threaten, or stalk, or to run scams of any kind. Mia will not be configured to pressure, deceive, or refuse a caller's request for a human.

3.4 Consent is your job. For every contact you direct Mia to reach, and every list, script, or instruction you supply, you are responsible for having the consent and legal basis the law requires (see Terms §12 and SMS Terms Part B).

4. Content and information you provide

4.1 The business information, pricing, policies, scripts, and content you give Mia must be accurate, lawful, and yours to use. No infringing, defamatory, or obscene content; no claims your business cannot legally make (including licensure or certification claims you do not hold); no instructions to discriminate unlawfully.

4.2 You may not direct Mia to make commitments outside your authority to make, or to represent another business without that business's authorization.

5. Platform and security rules

5.1 You may not: probe, scan, or stress the Service or its providers except as we authorize in writing; interfere with other customers' service; circumvent metering, usage limits, or access controls; share credentials or let unauthorized persons use your account; reverse-engineer the Service except where a law forbids this restriction; resell or sublicense the Service except as we permit in writing; or use the Service to build or benchmark a competing product.

5.2 You may not knowingly introduce malware or harmful code through any integration, file, or connected account.

6. Sensitive data

6.1 The Service is not designed for: payment-card numbers spoken or typed outside our processors' secure flows; health information subject to HIPAA; or credentials to third-party systems. Do not configure Mia to solicit or store such data. If a caller volunteers it, our systems treat it as confidential customer data, but you are responsible for your regulated-data obligations.

7. Enforcement and reporting

7.1 We may investigate suspected violations using the records the Service keeps. Depending on severity and risk, we may warn, require cure, suspend part or all of your Service, or terminate under Terms §15.2. Serious abuse (fraud, spoofing, unlawful bulk messaging) may be suspended immediately to protect carriers, recipients, and other customers.

7.2 Report abuse of the Service or of a Mia-answered line by calling (833) 772-5444.
